'The .357 Magnum' vintage large frame double action revolver. American manufactured in Springfield. MA. circa 1996 (purchase date). Features a polished blued finish, 6" barrel with checkered sighting rib, checkered top strap, raised partridge front sight, fully-adjustable micrometer click rear sight, fluted six-shot cylinder with counterbored chambers, shrouded ejector rod, half length underlug, serrated curved case-hardened target trigger, case-hardened target hammer, checkered hammer spur, three screw square butt N target frame, ten-groove front and rear grip straps, and Hogue textured black rubber grips with S&W insignias. Revolver retains approximately 99% of its original finish with superficial blemishes, and a very light drag line on the cylinder. Metal shows no rust or deformation. The action is smooth with very good lock-up, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. The grips are excellent. Revolver includes a factory cardboard box with documents.
